| Hi... Newbie to these forums, was directed here by ENFP, ta man... I've been vj-ing for a few years now, I started while i was running nights over in Brighton in the UK... I was resident for the Electric Underground lads in Cork for a good few years, but haven't done much in the last 6 months or so. I also had a major system crash and lost all of my clips! so I'm starting again from scratch. My gear includes: crappy laptop, battered old Oxygen8 keyboard, webcams game-pads and joysticks a cheapy graphics tablet software: Arkaos 3.5 for playing live (it's not the slickest, or the best, but it does exactly what i need and runs on my system!) After Effects and VJSP1 for generating footage Sony Vegas for editing my recent find for generating nice visuals is this piece of software - http://al.chemy.org/... wit's good fun doing sketches to pieces of music. c | |

| hey Pixelscribbler,
glad you've joined out burgeoning forum.
Program-wise your much the same as myself. Sony vegas may not be the best in effects and flexibility but it's simple and does the trick. Have you used GrandVJ? I used Arkaos 3.5 too for ages and finally got myself the new one. Think it's much slicker and loading is much faster. I've had way less problems with it than 3.5.
How do you use the game pads exactly? Don't think I saw that at your shows. | |
